“September 11, 2001 caught our country off guard."
It’s a sad situation since “9-11” - when our country was shaken up. The whole world had their eyes fixed on God. Churches were filled with people coming to church, some for the very first time, while others were rededicating their lives back to the Lord. Now everyone has gone back to their normal routines at their jobs and in their homes, as though nothing ever happened.
People let’s not get comfortable in the way we live! Remember Revelation 2:4 5A “Nevertheless, I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of this place, except thou repent.” Do not let God find you sleeping or being comfortable in your surroundings. Or else, He will remove the lamp stand out of its place until you fully surrender to Him and recognize that you have slipped away from your Lord.
September 11, 2001 caught our country off guard. We are “The Mighty Giants”; No one messes with the USA! Well, they did. Christians alike were caught off guard and this brought great fear to many. People, God has a great plan for you and I, let’s stay true and faithful to Him.
Today, we will remember 911, those who lost their lives and their families, and challenge our hearts to be true to our Lord Jesus. And do not allow this world to conform our lives, rather we must conform the world. If twelve disciples changed the world, can you imagine what we can do for Him if we let Him have his way in our lives?
